Skulls & Collectibles
Halo Support states that each of the 13 missions contains one Terminal and three hidden Skulls. It repeatedly gives a total of 39 hidden Skulls, and its collectible achievements also use 39.
The same official Collectibles article visibly lists 42 Skull names. Until Halo Support explains that mismatch, this guide keeps 39 as the repeated official total but does not present the visible list as a reconciled 39-entry database or publish unverified locations.

Campaign Remix
Collecting any three hidden Skulls unlocks Adaptation, Armistice, and Reload and makes Campaign Remix available for solo or co-op play. Those three effects stay active in Remix: they randomize enemy factions and placed weapons, while hostile factions focus on the player instead of fighting each other.
Remix Selection adds three to six random Skulls from the player's unlocked collection and has a small chance to apply a visual modifier. These are official behavior summaries, not a promise that any particular mission run will produce a specific combination.

Co-op
Online campaign co-op supports up to four players across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Two-player split-screen is available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5; the PC version does not support split-screen.
Cross-play and cross-progression require a linked Microsoft account. Campaign progress, collectible progress, and achievements synchronize across linked platforms, but an exact mid-mission checkpoint and player position do not. Steam supports offline solo play after the initial account link. PlayStation 5 supports offline solo play or local two-player co-op after linking. Guest accounts are not supported.

PC Setup
The official PC specifications guide lists Windows 10 version 22H2 64-bit or Windows 11 for every hardware tier. Every tier also requires an SSD with 100 GB available.
Treat the Low, Medium, High, and Ultra hardware tables as target specifications rather than universal performance guarantees. For tuning, Halo Support recommends reducing Global Illumination and Lighting first and testing Asynchronous Compute against the system's actual CPU or GPU bottleneck.

Updates & Known Issues
The July 29, 2026 patch for build 2026.07.25.1112544 lists the AMD FSR intro-cinematic crash in The Maw as fixed for affected driver versions. The patch also reset mid-mission saved progress while leaving unlocked missions and Rally Points available.
However, the Release Notes body still presented rollback or alternate-upscaler workarounds when it was checked on August 6, 2026, while the Known Issues article did not show that specific branch. The official pages therefore disagree: this guide does not claim that the AMD FSR issue is globally fixed or globally active.
Match any workaround to its platform, driver, build, and absolute check date. The August 6, 2026 snapshot also includes separate official guidance for Steam executable launches, Intel 13th- and 14th-generation processor crashes, AMD VSync behavior, NVIDIA RTX 50-series crashes, and XeSS Frame Generation issues.
